Govt’s Assurances: Support to flood victims pledged
“We have chalked out an emergency plan to take medicines and other items to affected people,” says minister.

Provincial Minister for Prisons Chaudhry Abdul Waheed on Tuesday said that inundated roads would be restored soon. He was addressing flood victims in the area. Waheed said that army personnel had been working hard to provide relief to flood victims and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had offered to lend a helicopter to provide food to those affected. The minister said that the government had established over 30 medical camps in the province for people affected by floods. “We have chalked out an emergency plan to take medicines and other items to affected people,” he added.
