Tie-Up With Akcsp: France backs Chitral skills development
The partnership is intended to invigorate and strengthen the ability of the local population of Chitral.
ISLAMABAD:
French Ambassador to Pakistan Philippe Thiébaud signed a partnership-agreement with Salman Baig, CEO Aga Khan Cultural Service Pakistan (AKCSP). The partnerships aim at extension of the successful projects in northern areas that have been implemented in the past years. This agreement focused on the ‘Skill Development in Heritage-Based Planning and Construction’ project which provides young women with woodwork and business skills. The partnership is intended to invigorate and strengthen the ability of the local population of Chitral to the traditional arts of embroidery, tapestry, cutting, sewing and upholstery.
