Untimely demise: Two women commit suicide

HARIPUR: A woman and her niece committed suicide in Dheenda village on Monday.

According to the police, they had gone to shop at a local market without first seeking permission from their parents. Upon their return, some elders of the family slapped them and banned them from going out ever again.

Grief-stricken, the two girls consumed poison together. They were taken to DHQ Hospital, Haripur where one of them died before receiving any medical care while the other died at Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad.
