Second marriage dispute: Man kills wife
The police arrested the trio and an investigation is underway.

A woman was allegedly killed by her husband and two accomplices in Bhardi Seeri Pataykah on Tuesday night after she refused to allow him to marry another woman. According to the police, 28-year-old Parveen Bibi, a mother-of-three, was tortured to death by her husband Abdul Shakoor, his brother Abdul Gafoor and their friend Shah Zaman after she refused to allow Shakoor to take a second wife. The police arrested the trio and an investigation is underway. The body was shifted to the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Hospital, Muzaffarabad for postmortem. The police told The Express Tribune that they will receive the autopsy report in two days while confirming that the deceased bore torture marks on the head. The murder sent shock waves through area residents, who have demanded exemplary punishment for the culprits.
