LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions judge has issued notice to the Sherakot SHO for August 6 on a petition filed by a man seeking a case against his mother-in-law and sister-in-law for allegedly stealing cash and gold from him.

Petitioner Zishan Nawaz submitted that his mother-in-law and sister-in-law visited him and his wife Sonia a few days ago for iftar and to give them Eidi. He said that he stepped out for a little while to buy some food and when he returned, the women were gone. His wife, who was outside washing clothes, told him that she had not seen them leave. He then noticed in his room that the cupboard was open and Rs3,000, three tolas of gold and a gold chain were missing. He asked the court to direct the Sherakot SHO to register an FIR against his mother- and sister-in-law.
