In line with the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi marked Dengue Day on Saturday by holding walks from all rescue stations in the district to create awareness about the viral disease.

The rescue teams visited shops and residential areas and checked potential breeding places for dengue-carrying Aedes mosquitoes and highlighted preventive measures that people can take.

The Training Wing also conducted an awareness seminar at Central Rescue Station and also provided awareness to
the participants of family gala at press club Rawalpindi.

Flanked by the heads of different wings, Punjab Emergency Service Director General Dr Rizwan Naseer reviewed anti-dengue arrangements and activities in a meeting held at Rescue 1122 Headquarters, where he was briefed about the field staff’s voluntary and proactive services.
