Pakistan continued their winning spree in the ongoing Women’s World T20 Qualifier as they beat their Netherlands counterparts by 20 runs in the rain-shortened match yesterday, according to ESPNcricinfo.

With both sides reduced to playing nine overs each, Pakistan raced to an inspiring 72 for four as Nain Abidi and Bismah Maroof provided valuable contributions.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands innings was replete with run-outs as three batsmen were dismissed in a similar fashion as they tried to chase the imposing target. The Dutch side managed to string together only 52 for five in their innings, with Helmien Rambaldo (15) scoring the most runs.

Earlier, Javeria Khan and Javeria Rauf opened the innings for Pakistan with both being dismissed respectively in the first two deliveries of the game. Abidi and Maroof then took over as the former hit a blistering knock of 38 off 27. Maroof (25) was sent off by Mariska Kornet but her successor Sana Mir lasted just two runs before being run out.

Abidi was declared player-of-the-match for her unbeaten knock.
