Pakistan Women register win at qualifiers
Team routs Thailand to move closer to World Twenty20 berth.

Pakistan Women edged closer to qualifying for the Women’s World Twenty20 as they emerged victorious in their Group A encounter against Thailand Women, according to ESPNcricinfo.
Batting first, Pakistan scored 145 for six in their 20 overs. Pakistan stabilised their innings with Nain Abidi’s knock of 38 off 47 after losing opener Javeria Khan off the third ball of the match. Abidi’s score included seven fours and a 50-run partnership with Javeria Rauf before being dismissed. Towards the end of the innings, Bisma Rauf and Nida Dar contributed with brisk twenties.
In their innings, Thailand were restricted to 76 for eight as they struggled to keep up with the run rate right from the start. And while trying to make quick runs, they fell victim to a loss of wickets. Chanida Sutthiruang top-scored with a mediocre 11 off 19, while Siddiqi and Asmavia Iqbal picked up two wickets apiece.
