Cricket: Sami bowls Omer CC to 3-wicket win

Chasing a mammoth target of 168, Northern Gymkhana were bowled out for 130 in 19.4 overs.

Test player Mohammad Sami bagged a three-wicket haul to bowl Omer CC to a 37-run victory against Northern Gymkhana in their quarter-final of Dr MA Shah Night Trophy played at Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium.


Chasing a mammoth target of 168, Northern Gymkhana were bowled out for 130 in 19.4 overs. Ammar Hasan top-scored with 36 while Ahsaan Ali struck 24. Left-arm spinner Adnan Kaleem claimed three wickets.

Earlier, Omer CC had posted 167 for four. Akbarur Rehman smashed two sixes and three boundaries in his 45-run knock while Ramiz Raja Jr scored 40. Ali Waqas (26) and Saad (17) also played important unbeaten hands.
