Security threat: ATC judge shares security concerns

Sagheer Hussain Zaidi shared his concerns after he was notified of a change in his police security guards.

HYDERABAD:
An Anti-Terrorism Court judge fearing threats to his life has implicated three police inspectors saying they will be responsible if anything happened to him. The judge, Sagheer Hussain Zaidi, shared his safety concerns through the police wireless service after he was notified by the police headquarters that there will be a change in his police security guards. “In his wireless message, the judge accused police headquarters’ resident inspector Naeem Siddiqui, section SHO Rao Nazim and airport police station SHO Rana Pervez,” a police official told The Express Tribune. Zaidi ordered the police stations, which received his wireless message to record his complaint. According to the police sources, the ATC judge trusts his police security guards, Waseem and Shahid, and he expressed this preference to the police headquarters but still his police security guards were changed. The court sources claim that written complaints have been sent to the Sindh High Court registrar. The judge cannot be reached for his views. After Zaidi’s resistance his trustworthy police security guards, Waseem and Shahid are performing security duty for the judge.
