Alleged Lyari gangster Arshad Pappu, his brother, Yasir Arafat, and their confidant, Juma Shera, were killed on the night of March 16.
According to the FIR registered on the complaint of Arshad Pappu’s widow, the alleged gangster along with the two other deceased and his 10-year-old son had gone to attend a party at a friend’s apartment in the Defence Housing Authority. The boy came back at around midnight and informed his mother that around 20 men in two vehicles came to the apartment and kidnapped his father and the other two men.
Ghulam Mustafa Memon of ATC-III declared the suspects -leader of the banned Peoples Amn Committee Uzair Jan Baloch, Habib Jan Baloch, Noor Muhammad alias Baba Ladla, Asif Kana, Zahid Ladla, Faisal Pathan, Yasir Pathan, Inspector Jan Khan Niazi and Inspector Javed Baloch - as proclaimed offenders after the investigating officer of the case, Yamin Gujjar, confessed in writing that he was unable to arrest them.
Gujjar told the court that he was unable to arrest the suspects, as ordered earlier by the court, as they have gone into hiding.
The judge, while expressing his dissatisfaction, ordered to take action under section 87 (proclamation for person absconding) and 88 (attachment of property of person absconding) of the Criminal Procedure Code against the suspects and submit a report in the court in this regard.
The complainant stated in the FIR that the victims were killed after being subjected to torture and the bodies of her husband and his brother were thrown in manholes in a Kalakot after being mutilated and alleged that the offence was committed on the behest of Shahjehan Baloch - an under trial prisoner and a candidate of the Pakistan Peoples Party for the NA-248 seat.
A case was registered under Sections 302 (premeditated murder), 365 (kidnapping with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person), 297 (trespassing on burial place, etc), 392 (punishment for robbery), 109 (abetment) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code read with Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act at the Kalakot police station.

It is true that Police can't arrest these terrorists but the reason mentioned by the police is wrong. Police should have to be brave in admitting its failure & incapability that they can't arrest a man who is readily available for media talk shows, who is supported by top leadership of Sindh government, and the most important is that they can't arrest them because any entry in Lyari will bring death to Police officers prior the arrest of these terrorists.
From Uzair Baloch to Uzair Jan Baloch? I wish the media gives similar respect to our true leaders.
How did the Police claim inability to arrest Uzair Baloch - when he is able to talk freely on Talk Shows (see an episode of To The Point, where the whole tv show crew recording an hour of conversation with this guy).
Its just sheer incompetency of Police and the blessing of top-dogs on Uzair's head to protect him. If you haven't seen, search for the video on google where these guys are shown with the bodies of said arshad pappu etc.
