SUKKUR: A teenage girl was shot dead by her brothers, who declared her ‘kari’. The brothers also injured the boy, whom they declared ‘karo’, near Dargah Bharchoondi Sharif in Daharki, Ghotki district, on Friday. Sahib Dino alias Saboo Hakro and Asghar Ali Hakro gunned down their sister while she was busy doing household chores. Later, the brothers raided the house of Ghulam Nabi Hakro and opened fire as soon as he came out and fled. The girl’s body was shifted to the taluka hospital and the injured Ghulam Nabi was taken to Larkana hospital in critical condition. As the girl’s father, Haji Hakro, was reluctant to register an FIR, the police on behalf of the state registered a case against the girl’s brothers, Sahib and Asghar. Out of the two brothers, Asghar has been arrested, while the other one is still at large.
