Justice delivered: Four men get life sentence for murder

KARACHI: A sessions court awarded life term to four men in a murder case, on Tuesday. The district West, additional district and sessions judge, Shagufta Siddiqui, announced the verdict after hearing final arguments from both sides. The judge also ordered the accused to pay a fine of Rs100,000 to the legal heirs of the victim. In case of non-payment, the convicts will undergo an additional six months imprisonment. According to the prosecution, the accused had stabbed and injured a man, Sher Muhammad, during a brawl in the limits of Gulshan-e-Maymar in September 2007. Later on, Sher had succumbed to his injuries at Jinnah hospital, the court was told.
