Torrential rain paralyses Abbottabad
.

Continuous heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, brought life in Abbottabad and surrounding areas to a standstill on Thursday, inundating major roads including Mansehra Road and Murree Road and leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded.
According to reports, day-long rainfall triggered flash floods that entered numerous homes across the city overnight. Despite coinciding with Iftar, residents were forced to drain floodwater from their houses, while mud dwellings in several localities sustained damage. The persistent downpour also caused temperatures to drop sharply, adding to residents' woes.
Key roads and streets — including Sir Syed Colony, Mandian, Jinnahabad, Al-Badar Colony, and adjacent areas — remained submerged for hours, confining people to their homes.
