SUKKUR:

Motorway police arrested three robbers on National Highway between Sangi and Rohri, on Monday morning. The robbers used to steal goods from trucks travelling along the highway.

Sukkur motorway police media manager Sarfaraz Ahmed said that the police were patrolling the highway between Sangi and Rohri, when they came upon a truck that was constantly changing tracks. They arrested the three occupants of the truck - Noor Mohammad Brohi, Ghulam Haider Brohi and Abdul Majeed Brohi - who, during initial interrogation, admitted that they were on the lookout for loaded trucks to steal goods.

Their vehicle, registration number TKB-681 was also taken into custody.

Ahmed said that the suspects used to prowl the highway and whenever they came upon a loaded truck, the driver used to run their truck parallel to that vehicle, during which time two of them shifted the goods from that vehicle onto their empty truck.
