GUJRANWALA: As many as 22 people were recovered on Sunday from a kiln, where they had been detained for several days by the owner. The action was taken on a petition filed by a resident of Botalan Shaikhan in Mandi Bahauddin. He said the kiln owner, Imtiaz Bhutta, had detained some of his relatives who worked for him at the kiln on Gujranwala Road. Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed had directed a bailiff to raid the place and see if there was any truth to the petitioner’s claim. The kiln was raided and 22 people, including children, were recovered. Police said they were looking for the kiln owner.
