Disputed territory: ‘Kashmir should not be forgotten
AJK President donated Rs300,000 to the LHCBA.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Muhammad Yaqoob Khan on Tuesday urged the government of Pakistan not to forget Kashmir while fostering trade relations with India. Addressing the Lahore High Court Bar Association, Khan said Kashmiris did not want to defeat India but wanted their right to freedom and expression. He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had assured the AJK government of Pakistan’s support. Khan said AJK would extend full support to Pakistan and asked the government not to seek foreign help to overcome power crisis. He advised the government to construct dams in AJK for its electricity needs. He said the Kashmiris wanted to see a strong Pakistan and were ready to offer any assistance that it needed. He recalled the earthquake of 2005 and said the Kashmiris could never forget the enthusiasm and love shown by Pakistani people during the calamity. Khan also donated Rs300,000 to the LHCBA.
