SUKKUR:

Pakistan needs a change of system, not just faces, to usher in lasting peace and prosperity in the country, said Lal Masjid khatib Maulana Muhammad Abdul Aziz Ghazi at a press conference on Saturday.

“Pakistan was created in the name of Islam but despite the lapse of 65 years we are still following the Western democracy.” He said that the rulers are turning into billionaires and the people are getting poorer with every passing day.

Maulana Ghazi said interest is an anti-Islamic practice which has ruined the economy and thus must be scrapped at once. He questioned how many of the supposedly arrested target killers have been punished? “Democracy has no answer to these problems but once you punish the thieves, bandits and murderers as per the Islamic law there will be a change.” Ghazi further said that the judiciary is being run under the English law and the petitioners have to wait for years to get justice and highlighted government’s helplessness in the face of rising incidents of theft, robbery, rape and acid attacks.
