As many as 535,856 voters will cast their votes during by-elections in two constituencies of Faisalabad on August 22. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, polling in NA-83 and PP-51 had been called off due to the death of independent candidate Amjad Rabbani on May 8 who was contesting general elections from both constituencies. The ECP said that there were a total of 368,371 voters in NA-83, including 203,406 male and 164,965 female voters. ECP data showed that PP-51 has a total of 167,485 voters including 96,206 male and 71,279 female voters. Applications for postal balloting would be received till August 6.
