Two tribesmen were killed and three others were injured when unidentified militants opened fire at a passenger vehicle in Bara tehsil, Khyber Agency on Friday.



An official of the political administration said the unidentified assailants opened fire at a pick-up vehicle en-route to the surrounding areas of Bara at around 10am. The militants opened fire in Zao, Akka Khel killing two passengers on the spot and injuring three others.

The official added the passengers were shopkeepers who had visited Bara Bazaar to buy daily usage item and sell them in their shops. He added the dead were identified as Muhammad Khan and Juma Khan, tribesmen from Akka Khel, while the injured Abdul Mateen, Zar Khan and Noor Syed were taken to hospitals in Peshawar in critical condition.
