Accountability Court: President approves premier’s nominee

ISLAMABAD:

President Asif Ali Zardari on advice of the prime minister approved the appointment of Shahid Naseer as Judge Accountability Court-III Lahore.

After the expiration of tenure of the previous accountability court judge, Chief Justice of Lahore High Court nominated a panel of three judges for posting any one of them against the vacant post.

Summary initiated by ministry of law and justice division states that the post of Judge Accountability Court-III Lahore had fallen vacant on October 20, 2012.

Ministry of law and justice division recommended the premier to appoint Shahid Naseer  as the Judge in the Accountability Court-III Lahore on deputation basis in his own pay scale till the date of his superannuation, 31st October 2015, or until further orders.

Acting on the advice of the prime minister, the president has approved the appointment. The president, on the advice of Nawaz Sharif, has also approved the appointment of the additional attorney general and deputy attorneys general.
