Nanga Parbat Fallout: PTDC beefs up security
PTDC has re-launched its summer tour packages and announced special rates for hotels, motels and resorts.

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) General Manager Fayyaz Ahmed said on Friday that PTDC has beefed up security for local and foreign tourists after the Nanga Parbat tragedy.
Ahmed said despite the unfortunate attack at the base camp, more than 25 per cent increase in tourism was witnessed. “Despite the negative fallout after the incident, PTDC achieved its targets to promote domestic tourism from the start of March till the end of June”, he added.
He also stated that PTDC has re-launched its summer tour packages and announced special rates for hotels, motels and resorts situated in the most tourist-attractive places in the country. He added that PTDC has also started bus services, escorted with armed guards, to Naran.
