Inflation: Index up 1.08% during week

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), for the week ended June 27 has registered an increase of 1.08% over the previous week for the lowest income group.


The SPI for the week under review for the above mentioned group was recorded at 193.86 points against 191.78 points registered in the previous week, data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics shows.

The SPI for combined groups was up by 1.03%; up from 197.41 points in the previous week to 199.44 points this week. During the week under review, average prices of indexed items changed as follows: 7 items registered a decrease, 20 items increased and the remaining 26 items’ prices remained unchanged.
