SWABI: The Superintendent of Police (SP) Saeed Ahmed on Tuesday assured of foolproof security to polio eradication teams for the upcoming polio eradication campaign. In a meeting in connection with polio eradication and security of teams, he said the police force have decided to exercise comprehensive security measures ahead of the polio eradication campaign. He informed the participants of health departments that two police officials would be deployed with each polio team for their protection as well as to make the campaign target oriented.All Circular DSPs, Inspectors, SHOs and health department officials attended the meeting. The meeting was informed that the police force have already started crackdown against criminals and anti-social elements. During the crackdown, the police arrested as many as 153 individual accused of various crimes. The police also recovered many contraband items.
