Exports: Pakistani mangoes debut in Mauritius
The overall import of mangoes of Mauritius is $ 1.5 billion annually.

Famous for their diversified flavours and tastes, Pakistani mangoes landed in Mauritius amid high demand as fruit exporters successfully introduced the fruit for the first time in the country.
Pakistan’s mangoes can capture a large portion of the Mauritius’ market in the next five years due to its unique variety of tastes and price competitiveness. Pakistan has been given an approval for exporting 500 tons of mangoes this year after it successfully met the processing requirements of the fruit set by the Mauritius government.
The first shipment has already been dispatched. The only mango exporter to Mauritius at the moment said that Pakistan’s mango is available at $1.5 per kilogramme (kg) whereas mangoes from other countries are being sold at $3 per kg. The overall import of mangoes of Mauritius is $ 1.5 billion annually.
