Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited has announced that industrial units of Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Multan, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Islamabad and Rawalpindi will not get gas for the rest of the week. They received gas for one day only from June 24 (6am) to June 25 (6am).

Gas is being shut off in the wake of annual turnaround of MOL (central processing facility), Sawan/Tajjal and Gurguri fields, says SNPGL in a press release on Monday.

Similarly, compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur got gas from June 24 (6am) to June 25 (6am) only and no gas will be available for the remaining week.

SNGPL warned that the company would conduct strict monitoring during gas holidays and could take action as per policy against those found consuming gas.
