Canal Breach: Villages inundated near Ghotki

Up to five feet of water flooded the populated areas, forcing the residents to vacate their homes.

SUKKUR: A 50-foot breach in Nari Canal near Ghotki inundated the surrounding low lying areas and damaged hundreds of acres of cultivated land.

Up to five feet of water flooded the populated areas, forcing the residents to vacate their homes.

An official of the irrigation department said that the repair work on the damaged portion of the canal has been started.
