Good governance: WB delegates call on chief secretary
Revenue generation, excise and taxation and public-private partnerships discussed.
KARACHI:
A 13-member World Bank Governance Reform Mission met on Thursday the chief secretary, Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhry, to discuss revenue generation, excise and taxation and public-private partnerships.
Welcoming the delegates, led by senior governance specialist Sher Shah, the chief secretary noted that institutional arrangements were essential for result-oriented services. He said bi-monthly meetings should be made regular to check follow ups. Referring to its meeting with the governor, the mission highlighted numerous reform options available.
