Ahsan said this while talking to journalists at the Thatta District Bar Association Wednesday. He said the unification of the Muslim League groups was a ‘seasonal’ issue; these groups were made on directions of their bosses, and they would join and separate on their orders. He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party’s politics and manifesto was based on the vision of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. He urged the party’s leadership to expend its energy on implementing it.
He said that those who are sitting abroad can do nothing but spreading anarchy in the country. He does not see their return till 2040 unless the courts order their extradition.
He criticised the statement about the “sound of shoes” uttered by Chaudhry Shujaat and Mushahid Hussain. He said their ears were playing tricks on them - they were just recalling the sound of their ministers running during the tenure of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
According to Ahsan, there were no rifts between him and the PPP. He wanted a change in the party’s policies, while those holding the ministries and advisories did not want this change. They have their own principles and I have my own, he said, adding that he could be kicked out of the PPP but nobody could kick the PPP out of him. He urged the Thatta Bar Association to help the flood-affected people of the area in every possible way.
