Energy woes: PML-N govt to reduce load-shedding

Barjees Tahir said that the PSDP had also been increased from Rs360 billion to Rs540 billion.

ISLAMABAD:
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir said measures taken by the government to reduce load-shedding would yield results. 

He said the prime minister had surrendered his discretionary funds while a 30 per cent cut in expenditures had also been implemented in all the ministries. He said the government was also committed to raise the GDP to 7 per cent by June 2016.


Barjees Tahir said that the Public Sector Development Programmes had also been increased from Rs360 billion to Rs540 billion and was of the view that the increase would enhance economic activities in the country.
