Red carpet: Midi Alert!

Not comfortable with wearing short skirts and LBDs? Worry not because midi dresses are the highlights of the Spring/Summer 2013 trends list. Fashionable celebrities from tinsel town were spotted wearing bodycon midi dresses at various red carpet events.

While the gorgeous Jessica Alba stunned audiences in a beautiful black and ash white body-hugging midi dress and a 60s-inspired hairdo, the very considerate Ms Jolie looked smokin’ hot in a white peplum midi dress at the premier of World War Z in Germany.

The best thing about a midi dress is that it is a perfect style for both day and night. Wear it with tights or stockings and gladiator boots to have a more grunge-like, casual look or go sexy with bare legs and strappy high heels like these Hollywood superstars. Print, lace, leather — mix and match it with any silhouette. The classic midi dress is bound to make you shine, just as the Desperate Housewives starlet Eva Longoria glowed like a true diva at the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) gala in a sheer black lace midi dress. So, move on from last year’s dip hemmed dresses and flaunt the midi!
