Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday directed the Capital Development Authority to immediately cancel a tender issued during the previous government for the beautification of roads leading up to the PM House, Radio Pakistan reported.

The newly-installed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government is also weighing the merits and demerits of a proposal to place the CDA back under the administrative control of Interior Ministry.

During a meeting with high ups of the interior ministry and officials of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan expressed his “desire” to take control of the CDA, ICT officials said.
