Karachi violence claims 10 lives

Violence took its toll on Karachi again after 10 people, including two policemen, were killed in separate areas of the city on Sunday.
Four gunmen riding two motorbikes opened fire on a police vehicle in the Patel Para area and killed two policemen early morning on Sunday, senior local police official Usman Bajwa told AFP. Nobody has so far claimed responsibility.
One policeman, identified as Amir, was also injured in the incident, reported Express News.
Gunmen killed one man and injured three in the Hazara Goth area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, while firing near Juna Masjid in Lyari claimed one life.
Two hand grenades were hurled in the Hangorabad area which killed one child and a passer-by, and injured seven others.
Two bodies were found dumped near Makki Masjid in Agra Taj. The men were identified as Faqeer Muhammad and Zahid who were kidnapped and then tortured and shot to death.
In the Garden area, unidentified gunmen held a man against a wall and shot him multiple times, while a woman’s body with limbs tied was recovered from Korangi Crossing.
