The road had been closed last week owing to security concerns.
However, main barricades near Bilawal House, on the road leading to Sea View will remain in place.
A towering wall which cordons off Bilawal House has been criticised for hampering city life in the area. Businesses have complained about declining profits while residents have voiced their concerns about putting up with constant security checks.
Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sharmila Faruqi had earlier said that while the wall has inconvenienced people, they “should be thankful because it is extra security and it’s for free.”
