Sindh Assembly: After print error, re-polling for deputy speaker nominees ordered
Agha Siraj Durrani's name was erroneously printed on the ballot paper instead of Shehla Raza's.

Newly-elected speaker Agha Siraj Durrani ordered re-polling in the Sindh Assembly for electing a deputy speaker after polling was abruptly stopped due to a print error on the ballot papers, reported Express News on Thursday.
The re-polling is to avoid any confusion and to give all members a fair chance.
Instead of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) nominee for deputy speaker Shehla Razas’ name, Agha Siraj Durrani’s name was erroneously printed.
PPP nominated Shehla Raza, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) nominated Hir Ismail Soho and Pakistan Muslim League- Functional (PML-F) nominated Nusrat Sahar Abbasi for the position of deputy speaker.
The newly elected Speaker of the assembly and PPP member, Agha Siraj Durrani confirmed that there was an error on the ballot paper.
Durrani is the 16th speaker of the provincial assembly.
Durrani secured 87 out of a possible 155 votes. He took oath under the supervision of the outgoing speaker Chaudhry Nisar Khoro.
