Inquiry: CJ takes notice of Gujrat van tragedy

The death toll rose on Wednesday after one of the injured children succumbed to her injuries.

ISLAMABAD:
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Wednesday took suo motu notice of the tragic bus fire on May 25 in Gujrat which killed 19 school children and a teacher.

The death toll rose on Wednesday after one of the injured children succumbed to her injuries.


The chief justice will hear the case on June 4 and directed a report from the federal secretary ministry of petroleum, chief secretary Punjab, secretary transport Punjab, inspector general of police Punjab and the administration of the school which the children attended.
