Collaborations ‘Scientific solutions the need of the hour’

FAISALABAD:

Collaborative efforts by agricultural institutions were needed for ensuring food security at global level, University of California (UC DAVIS) Dean, Jim Hill said on Wednesday.

Hill called on the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Vice Chancellor Iqrar Ahmed Khan at his chamber on Wednesday.

He said scientists all over the world were facing challenges of fighting hunger, malnutrition and poverty. He said these problems could only be addressed through scientific solutions. Jim stressed the need for increasing food and fibre productivity to ensure a better future.

Iqrar Ahmad Khan said UAF was setting up an Office of International Programmes in order to keep up with international collaborations and coaching for GRE tests was underway.
