Officials suspended: Seven policemen’s services discontinued

QUETTA: Seven police personnel of Police Station Cantt Quetta, including a station house officer, services were suspended for negligence here on Monday.

Deputy Inspector General Operations Fayyaz Sumbal confirmed that departmental action has been taken against the seven police personnel. “We have taken departmental action against the seven police personnel of Police Station Cant Quetta including the SHO after two suspects arrested in a kidnapping for ransom case escaped from the police station lock-up,” he added.

Fayyaz Sumbal also said that senior police officials have been investigating the incident in order to determine whether the accused escaped from the police station in connivance with the policemen. After the investigation report, further action would be taken in this regard, he said.
