KARACHI: The lawyer defending Ghulam Murtaza Lashari, one of the four suspects charged with murdering Shahzeb Khan, claimed that his client never teased the victim’s sister and that he didn’t have any role in the murder, in an anti-terrorism court on Wednesday.

The court heard the final arguments of Lashari’s counsel, Raja Bastani, in the Shahzeb Khan murder case.

The counsel claimed that Lashari was framed and he neither misbehaved with Khan’s sister nor killed the victim.

He requested the court acquit Lashari. The in-charge deputy district public prosecutor for the state, Abdul Maroof, told the court that a total of 23 witnesses recorded their statements and six of them said that Lashari had misbehaved with Khan’s sister.

Judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon adjourned the case till Thursday (today).
