Bottlenecks: Customs assures support to businesses

KPCCI president appreciated the process of payment of rebate from Custom Collectorate Peshawar.

PESHAWAR: Collector Customs Peshawar, Zulfiqar A Kazmi has agreed in principle with demand of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) for allowing rebate-able export from Ghulam Khan check post in Bannu. Assuring that he will be sending recommendations to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to declare Ghulam Khan check post as `Export Station’ on immediate basis. He made the comments during a high level meeting at KPCCI along with its president, Yousaf Sarwar and other businessmen, according to a press release by KPCCI. During the meeting, Kazmi also assured participants of the meeting that a special committee will be constituted for valuation of pharmaceutical and other products. KPCCI president appreciated the process of payment of rebate from Custom Collectorate Peshawar and demanded some improvement in the process.
