Self-Assessment: ANP panel to review failure

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has set up a fact-finding committee to determine the reasons behind ANP’s failure in the elections.

The committee was formed during a meeting in Islamabad, on Thursday.

It was also decided that the committee would include Bashir Ahmad Mattha as its chairman, Senator Baz Muhammad, Senator Zahid Khan, Jafar Shah, Haroon Ahmad Bilour, Jamila Gillani, Syed Hanif Shah and Riaz Sheikh.

The committee has been instructed to present a detailed report to the party within two months.

Meanwhile ANP Central Secretary Information, Zahid Khan stated that the ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan instructed all the party parliamentarians to sit on the opposition benches in the Senate, the National Assembly as well as all provincial assemblies, in best interests of the country.
