SHO’s Suspension: Court summons top cops

The SHO was suspended for recovering vehicles from two government secretaries.

MUZAFFARABAD:
Azad Kashmir High Court Chief Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal on Tuesday issued a show-cause notice to IGP Rana Altaf over the suspension of Secretariat Chatter Police SHO Zahid Umar.

He formed a division bench to hear the case and asked IGP Altaf and DIG of police to appear in court on May 17.

The SHO was suspended for recovering vehicles from two government secretaries who were reluctant to return official vehicles despite their transfer to other departments.

While taking notice of the IGP’s action, CJ Mughal rejected the suspension order which was issued last week.
