While the Pakistani Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) suffered heavy defeats elsewhere, their traditional vote banks came through with former Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah retaining his seat in Khairpur, Express News reported.
Shah won the PS-29 elections by securing 27,155 votes.
The former chief minister’s rival was the veteran politician Syed Ghous Ali Shah. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Sindh chief could only secure 16,277 votes.
