Litigation: Man killed by old rival

FAISALABAD: A man was shot in the Rodala area on Wednesday over an old litigation dispute. Bushra Bibi, a resident of Chak 357-GB, told police that her husband Muhammad Ali Kharal was sitting outside their house with his brother, Muhammad Akram, and uncle, Muhammad Haneef, when seven men came and fired at them. Kharal received multiple bullet injuries. He was rushed to a hospital where he died from blood loss, she said. One of the seven men had an old rivalry and on-going litigation with her husband, she said. “He said that he would teach my husband a lesson for pursuing the case against him and shot him with a rifle,” said Bushra Bibi. Police have registered a case against Hasnain Raza alias Sunny, Muhammad Elyas, Manzoor, Shehbaz, Iftikhar, Imran and Nadeem under. Police spokesperson Ameer Nasir Javed said, “Rodala Road police are looking for the suspect.”
