Carelessness: Boy dies from electric shock

Zubair’s family and neighbours demonstrated against the incident.

GUJRANWALA:
A boy got an electric shock when he tried to fix a neighbour’s water pump at Shahzad Shaheed Colony, Satellite Town, on Tuesday. Police said Zubair Ali, son of Muhammad Anwar, was standing in the street when his neighbour Razia Bibi requested his hel with the out-of-order pump. As soon as Zubair touched the machine, he received an electric shock and died on the spot. Zubair’s family and neighbours demonstrated against the incident. They also submitted an application to police, saying that the motor had been malfunctioning for a month, but nobody got it repaired despite requests.
