Narrow escape: Police officials injured in militants attack
An investigation is currently underway.

Two motorway police officials were injured when unidentified militants opened fire at their vehicle in Baba Jee Kallay on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway in Nowshera on Sunday.
Awais Khan an injured inspector told the Risalpur police he and his driver Tahir Taj were patrolling the motorway in a police van when armed men opened fire at their vehicle around 1:25am, injuring them both. An official of the Risalpur police said both the officials were injured when broken glass hit them, adding neither the inspector nor the driver received bullet wounds even though the van was hit 10 times. He further said the driver managed to manoeuvre the vehicle away from the attackers. The official further added a case under sections 324 and 354 of the Pakistan Penal Code was filed against the militants. An investigation is currently underway.
