Security concern: Three arrested at Baisakhi fair
Following the arrests, the SP ordered a security alert at the fair.
GUJRANWALA:
Three people were arrested from the Baisakhi fair held at Aimonabad on Sunday.
Police said the men were arrested during Saddar SP Syed Junaid Arshad’s visit to the fair. They were asked to prove their identity, but could not produce a document. Police said the men looked like foreigners. Following the arrests, the SP ordered a security alert at the fair. He said protecting citizens and guests was a duty of the police. He ordered that nobody be allowed on the fair grounds without producing an identity card.
