LAHORE: Ninety percent of the people who work with me during our election campaign is the youth, which some parties claim to have conquered, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marium Nawaz said while speaking to Express News.

“When I go on the streets of Rawalpindi and Lahore, I see an overwhelming support from the youth,” Nawaz said.

“Television is portraying a totally different picture altogether but you can gauge the support for our party when you go onto the streets.”

“We don’t need big rallies to establish ourselves in Lahore,” she said with an air of self assurance when asked why the PML-N had not yet held a big rally in Lahore like other parties.

“The parties [PTI, JUI-F] conducting big rallies in Lahore are the new ones trying to gain a place in the voter’s mind,” she replied.

Nawaz went on to explain the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif’s struggle for the supremacy of the constitution, rule of law and freedom of judiciary during the last five years.

"The fact that Pakistan is able to vote out a government and bring in a set-up of their choice shows that PML-N has been successful in its struggle."

“The interim government should ensure that all parties get proper security,” she said in reference to the recent attacks on various political parties ahead of general elections.

“Delaying elections is not an option,” Nawaz said.

In the end, she encouraged the voters to help PML-N get a clear majority in the parliament, establishing the fact that a split mandate government cannot take free steps to counter the issues faced by Pakistan.

@ Tariq..

Dear, Educated Tariq. the frustration you see every where is the gift from these leaders, no one born agressive, but the environment made them agressive.. This is what the corrupt leaders deserves.. anyone who looted this country does not deserve the respect. I salute the youth, who are still tollerating and waiting for some thing new, some magic.. otherwise we stand at a position where all these corrupt people should be taken with an iron-hand. No respect for those who are corrupt

just for your understanding, if you work some where, and does not perform your duties and keep yourself busy in those actions by which your employer suffer losses. so anwer me boy, how much resepct you will get from your boss ??

Iam not a strong supporter of Imran khan. And not a insafian or PTI. But i can see him as the represenattive of that frustration. which is created by these corrupt leaders themselves.

I will vote against my Caste.. i will vote for IK.
