Political violence: One killed in QWP, PPP clash
The police said an FIR was yet to be registered.
PESHAWAR:
A person was killed while four others were seriously injured when Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers clashed with supporters of the Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) on Dalazak Road in the jurisdiction of Pahripura police station Thursday evening.
Members of both parties exchanged fire following a dispute regarding an election poster. Police officials said both groups fired at each another. Four QWP workers identified as Taj Muhammad, Aalam Jan, Naeem Jan and Dilawar were injured.
A PPP worker identified as Fahim was also injured in the confrontation. Following the incident, all five injured men were rushed to a hospital where Fahim succumbed to his injuries. The police added an FIR was yet to be registered.
