Lobbying Against Voting: Cases registered against nine activists

Police said Minhajul Quran district amir was heading a protest urging people to boycott the elections.

Piplan police registered a case against nine Minhajul Quran activists on Thursday for violating the code of conduct for elections.

Police said Minhajul Quran district amir Dr Muhammad Anwar Mervi was heading a protest on MM Road near Harnai Mor. The protesters, police said, urged people to boycott the elections.


The district administration directed the police to visit the scene and take action against the demonstrators.

Those nominated in the case include Dr Mervi, Muhammad Abdullah Saqib, Fakharuz Zaman, Hafiz Allah Bukhsh, Qaiser Iqbal, Ehtesham, Ismail and Sher Muhammad.
